Here are all the latest news, all together (including site updates, various entertainment news, or just maybe something random I heard about).
Comic Book Continuations Spreading???
With ABC announcing its midseason lineup, with Wed. being filled with comedies (with exception of
Lost returning to its Wed 9PM timeslot),
Pushing Daisies is nowhere to be seen. An unfortunate dilemma indeed, ABC with too many shows and so few slots, the pie maker may be lost in the world of brilliant shows, canceled unfairly so.
But, what is this. Is popularity of series living out their drama in the land of comic books a possible solution if ABC fails to renew this uniquely crafted series for season three? It works for
Buffy and
Angel, and current shows
Supernatural and even
Ghost Whisperer, all who've seen plots unfold in colorful illustrations of comics. At least that is what creator Bryan Fuller has shown interest in, continuing the tales of the pie maker, Ned, through the unique comics of art, shall the series fail to be scheduled in Fall '09.

SCI-Fi airs Moonlight repeats
The SCI-FI channel will air the 1st season and only season of the CBS gem
Moonlight. The continual being pissed off at CBS for canceling is further justified as CBS should now know they were better off with it, since the replacement for Fri 9PM sunk pretty badly, I mean, really badly. But, for anyone who missed it when it was new, and don't know why we are upset (and even continue to bring it up when talking about
True Blood (a vampire series on HBO)), then come January you can find out.
* on Friday, January 23, Sci Fi will add repeats of the short-lived dramas "Invasion" and "Moonlight" at 8:00/7:00c and 9:00/8:00c, respectively, leading into "Galactica" at 10:00/9:00c.
Oh, looks like another sci-fi series gone too soon will also air,
Invasion (formally on ABC), like
Moonlight, was heavily criticized in the beginning, but slowly built a fanbase, and maybe even reverted some critics to change their mind of the show in general. So, yeah, early on, say, pilot ep for sure, you may not care too much, but stick with it just a few more episodes and you'll see what we all saw.

CW Thursday
November 6, 2008 saw some good numbers for the CW shows Smallville and Supernatural, both which have increased from the previous week.
Could the, FINALLY!, expressions of the current Smallville season be enough to continue to keep it up in ratings, still being the top scripted show for the young network? I for one am excited to see Clark and Lois (like when Clark got a job at the Daily Planet and his desk just so happens to be where it was meant to be all these years, next to Lois's). Though there is still nothing yet between them, it surely is building up to it. Plus, despite the lack of Lex, the new character of Tess does seem to have some interesting backstory and intrigue to keep the story going. I find the ambulance dude (can't remember his name, but I believe he's supposed to be Doomsday (or end up being him)) probably the worst in the bunch, bringing Chloe down with him, but she kind of lingers since Jimmy keeps her from falling. Then there's the lack of Lana, which I find GREAT, since she's been annoying me, since, I don't know, 3rd-4th season. Just not a fan of her, but I do like that we have more Green Arrow, yay!
Supernatural's numbers didn't beat its premiere, but faired much better than last week, dealing with Dean rising from the depths of Hell, and bringing in an "angel." At first I was uncomfortable with them having the "god" element, which I thought was never gonna happen. But then I remember the whole balance of the equation idea, if there's a very evil being, then there would have to be the opposite. And despite all that Dean has gone through, he's still the same old Dean we all know and love. Sam is probably the one that has changed the most, now no longer caring of ever going back to school and becoming that lawyer. I think it will be interesting to see how this whole new relationship with the other side of the supernatural wall plays out. It's also great that we can continue to learn more about the brothers' past and they even learning a few new things about their family in general (***spoiler from the third episode::: their mother came from a family of hunters, which let's us in on why, in the episode "Home" of season 1, why she apologized**). The interesting plot twists and continual character development is why this show has been my top pick since the beginning.)
