Update January 20, 2009

I have updated the news section to now utilize the same CuteNews system I've been using for two years now, so anytime I post news and file it under 'Underworld,' it'll update. After the 3rd movie is out, I'll fix this Index page to show just one news piece, the latest one. Also, I have made a new wallpaper for the third movie, with Sonja, Lucian, and Viktor. Not the best, but my arm hurts a bit, so I'm just glad I did something today.

Update: November 25, 2008

The third film in the franchise, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, will hit theaters on January 23, 2009. Keep in mind, this is a prequel, with events dealing with Lucian and Viktor's daughter Sonja (who we know was sent to her death by her own father for having been involved with Lucian, a Lycan, and actually pregnate by him (Viktor was very strong on his stance against blending of the species)). So, there is no Selene or Michael, but we get to learn more of that particular time, when Vampires ruled, and Lycans (werewolves) were their slaves.

And the Official Underworld site has been updated to reflect the new film.

The sequel (Underworld Evolution) to the 2003 film Underworld, is out in theaters now. It was delayed a month, but in January it finally came out, and I had to create a sub-site for this amazing movie, which could also have a prequel as well. I have seen many vampire movies (Blade, the John Carpenter stuff, the ones based on Anne Rice novels, and a few of the ones based on Bram Stoker's Dracula, just to name a few), and I must say, this one, which also includes Werewolves (called Lycans here), is by far the absolute best.

I saw the movie, and, I will point out, I am not a professional reviewer, but for a year now, I posted reviews for the movies I go see. my Underworld Evolution review
